Thermoplastic Wire (THW)
An annealed solid or stranded cooper conductor coated with Lead-Free PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride). It can be used in both dry and wet location not exceeding the conductor temperature of 75°C and a circuit voltage of up to 600 volts. It also has oil and flame retardant properties often used in general purpose outdoor grounding, such as CATV installations, swimming pool pumps, outdoor lighting fixtures, telephone and communications equipment, and traffic light signals.
